Each note shows distance, the tulip vignette and your comments, colour-coded by state — reached, skipped, active, approaching.
Odometer & CAP bar
Total and partial distance, speed and heading up top; a CAP direction bar points you along the prescribed heading.
Automatic or manual
GPS validates each note within its detection radius (per-note, the roadbook default, or a fixed radius), or tap "reached" yourself.
Per-note map
An optional MapLibre mini-map per note, satellite or topo, to confirm the position on the ground.
Competition mode
Validates with penalties and emits an HMAC-signed result QR for the Ranking — tamper-evident scoring.

Pick the mode at start
The start screen sets Trip vs Competition and automatic (GPS) vs manual advancement — choose before you roll.
Tune the detection radius
Automatic mode marks a note when you're within its detection radius; the start modal can pin one fixed radius for the whole run if the per-note values don't suit the terrain.
Keep the odometer honest
Nudge the distance ±10 m when needed; validating a note syncs the total to that note's distance, so a wrong reading self-corrects at each waypoint.
Use the per-note map
Open a note's mini-map (satellite or topo) to confirm the spot on the ground when the text alone is ambiguous.
Competition → keep the QR
Competition mode scores with penalties and emits an HMAC-signed result QR — hand it to the Ranking; it can't be forged.
Log the run, screen locked
Optional crash-safe GPX logging plus a sound on each note; in the native app GPS keeps running with the screen off.
